Welcome to the International Aquatic Plants Group webpage
The International Aquatic Plants Group is comprised of researchers, scientists and practitioners who are based at universities and research organizations throughout the world. The IAPG is an interest group whose members specialize in all aspects of aquatic plant science, including botany, genetics, ecology, physiology, conservation and management.
Every
two to three years, we have a conference to share scientific advances with our
community and to continue to promote a collegiate atmosphere that facilitates
discussion, debate and collaboration. Past conference information can be found here. Past meetings have been arranged under the auspices of SIL (International
Society of Limnology) and the EWRS (European Weed Research Society), from which
the current IAPG arose. We are not a formal society. An ad hoc International Scientific Committee forms to oversee the conference and its
outputs, while a local organizing committee looks after the conference management.
